The 5 reasons why “not?” to join Sion youth.

It’s not about you
You’ll be constantly out of your comfort zone
You’ll waste a year of your life
You’ll never be the same
You won’t get satisfied by it

1) It’s not about you

During the year you spend time constantly giving to others, placing others before yourself, learning about them, learning with them, sharing with them; you will experience their joys and their sorrows, you will walk with them in rain and sunshine. And by this giving you will receive much more that you can even imagine.

2) You’ll be constantly out of your comfort zone

You will not have much opportunity to get comfortable. You spend all the time striving for more, all the time giving more and learning more. You will constantly feel like you are not in control, and that the task is way too difficult to be done. It may be a painful experience and you won’t get very much of it really, except the most amazing peace in your heart and deep, deep everlasting joy that will fill you to the point of overflow. (You may not feel it, but you’ll know it, for it is most amazing reality.)

3) You’ll waste a year of your life

You will spend time in community, while you could spend it travelling, earning money, meeting someone, starting family, studying... and all you get instead of it is deeper intimate relationship with God, the creator of universe, his salvation won for us by Jesus and the promise, that “your names will be written in heaven.”

 4) You’ll never be the same

There is so many opportunities to grow that it makes it almost impossible to remain the same. Also, receiving Jesus in mass every day and spending at least an hour a day in adoration, your life will be transformed from the inside out. There’s nothing so beautiful as that slow deep transformation of the soul.

5) You won’t get satisfied by it

Frankly said: “It won’t be ever enough.” You will always want more and more, for there is infinitely more of God. You’re heart is going to be set on fire and more of god you get, more you will want.

So do not hesitate. It’s worth it
