The great music

There was once a great music composer who created a beautiful piece of music. He got his orchestra and gave to each person their part. When it was played it filled the hearts of everyone.

However, one day, the best musician of them all looked around and thought to himself: “I myself can play much better then all these musicians. They are actually slowing me down. And he stopped following the music and started to play his own things, which caused a lot of disharmonies, and the music was not so beautiful anymore.  The great composer saw this and he knew that he needs to do something about it. So he gave him a choice: “Either you will play with everyone in harmony or you leave the orchestra.”

Unfortunately, for his great pride, he decided to leave. He wanted prove that he was right but very soon he realized that his instrument by itself is not very exciting. He can’t make harmonies, he has no one to keep rhythm and so on. And he got very jealous and angry blaming the great composer for his downfall. He decided that as a payback, he will destroy the orchestra and in that way hurt the composer for he knew that he loves it greatly.

He started with poisoning people with lies against the composer. And many people followed him for his lies were sweet as honey. He promised to everyone that they can play what they want in false freedom, not being bind by the rules, and that everyone can play solo and be the main person. People very quickly forgot about the great composer, to busy playing their main parts not caring for others. And soon they became bored and depressed by playing alone they lost motivation and joy of life. They became sad, lonely and angry about anything.

When the great composer saw all this he became very sad. But then he got an idea. He dressed as a beggar left his home and studio and went to the streets of the town carrying only his old violin. As he was walking he saw a young man holding a trumpet. He asked him to play something and as the young man started playing, the composer started to play alongside him. As they played something awakened in the heart of that young man, some memory some longing for beautiful music. He was so excited that he run away and brought back his friend and they played all together.  The music was so beautiful that it has drawn many people close and they all were lost in the beautiful music. More and more started to play along following the beggar and the young man.

As the harmonies were getting more and more beautiful, thanks to encouragement of the beggar some people realized that it is the great composer and they begged for forgiveness and possibility to come back to the orchestra. And the composer welcomed them with opened arms, saying: “I have come among you so you may have life and have it to the full.”

We all are created for beauty and glory with the particular plan that only we can fulfil. So let us not give up to lies, let us not be selfish, let us live our lives to the fullness and draw other people closer to God.
