Tuesday
God the Father

What's on today?! Assemblies, Lightfever @ Lunch, Prayer 4 U and Yr 7 & 8 workshops!

Picture

God the Father loves us into being who we are created to be. We are his beloved children. He values us for who we are and not what we do, and he has the most incredible plan for our lives!

Remember today's rhythm: God loves you!

Does God love me? The answer is in the bible, God's word:

“I have loved you with an everlasting love.” — Jeremiah 31:3

God loves you, and He loves you with a love that you don’t know anything about, because there is no human love comparable to divine love. God loves you. He wants to forgive you. He wants to have fellowship with you.

“God is love.” — 1 John 4:16

It doesn’t make any difference how far you try to run from God. He loves you. His eye is on you. He sees you. God loves you, and the Bible says that God sent His Son from heaven to this earth for you. Jesus Christ came to this earth to take your sins upon a cross. God has a plan for your life.

“‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord. ‘Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future.’”
— Jeremiah 29:11

God created us in His image, and you are important to God.

“Indeed the very hairs of your head are numbered.” — Luke 12:7

What's Lightfever?!

Picture
Lightfever is a period of quiet prayer and reflection; an opportunity to experience peace, to ask for God’s help or to offer thanks for anything you have experienced. We invite you to light a candle as you come in, and if you want to you can pick up a short section from the bible or write a prayer. There will also be some people available to pray with you if you decide that you want this at any point. In this time, you might read your bible passage, say a favourite prayer or just sit and think; you decide how to use this time you give to God.

Where?

In the chapel, we have the honour of being before Jesus truly present in the Holy Communion remaining from Mass, allowing us to pray to God face to face. The Eucharist is Jesus Christ present in His fullness in Body and Blood – even through it still looks like bread/wine. We can find God in the quiet of the chapel in a unique way through this reality.

When?

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday Lunch. Come and go for as long as you want!

''I put before you the one great thing to love on earth: the Blessed Sacrament.....There you will find romance, glory, honour, fidelity, and the true way of all your loves upon earth”

   ~J.R.R Tolkien.

Here are some stories shared by students in a previous school:

If you want to attend make sure you grab a slip from one of the team at break time which allows you to come out of your lesson for 10 minutes at the allotted time!
