I
love You and I know now I always
will
You
are to me the very centre of my
being
How
could I live without You
Jesus
now that I've found You, I could not turn
away
Heaven
is close to my heart
It's
there I store my treasure, Jesus lead the
way
Teach me all Your ways
And make me more like You everyday
And feed me with Your Word
And I will follow You
I
find You in the glory of Your Son
And
I see You in the beauty of creation
If
God is at the very centre of our being and we are asking
him to teach us his ways, it’s important to take time to
examine our lives and see if there are any areas where we
need to bring our thoughts, actions, attitudes or desires
in line with God’s.
To
help you do this, you might want to reflect on the
following scripture verses and
questions:
·
The
attitude you should have is the one that Christ Jesus
had. (Phil
2:5)
Do I have a healthy attitude towards the Church? Work?
Rest? Relationships?
·
So
then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue
to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in
the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with
thankfulness. (Colossians
2:6-7)
Am I able to thank God in all the situations of my life?
Am I doing all I can to strengthen my faith and be rooted
in Christ?
·
Figure
out what will please Christ, and then do
it.
(Ephesians 5:10 The Message)
Do I always try to do what will please God?
Do I let God into my life decisions?
Are my desires for my future in line with God’s desires for
my future?
As a way of offering up your life to God and asking for His
will to be done, you might want to finish by praying the
prayer that Jesus taught us:
Our
Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed
be thy name.
Thy
kingdom come, thy will be done,
on
earth as it is in heaven.
Give
us this day our daily bread,
and
forgive us our trespasses,
as
we forgive those who trespass against
us.
Lead
us not into temptation,
but
deliver us from evil.
For
thine is the kingdom, the power and the
glory,
Forever
and ever, Amen!
